Sailing (1974)

The Sailing group had a good Autumn's sailing.

With the majority of the Group in their second season at sailing, more are now becoming confident Enterprise helmsmen and the standard of sailing in the Group has improved a great deal.

After Christmas, one of the Enterprises and all the masts of the School boats were brought back here for repair and painting, but they are now back on the water. The Parents' Association has bought the School another Enterprise and this brings the school 'fleet' to three Enterprises and a Heron: added to this are the boats hired from the Base. It is hoped to race one of the Enterprises next term in Inter Schools races and to hold 'a helmsman of the Year' contest throughout the summer term for all members of the Group.
