Hockey  Report 08 1st XI (1975)

Hockey 1st XI 1975

By Mr Adrian Taylor

The Hockey squad has had access to the excellent "all-weather" surface at Kings College. This has meant that visiting teams have

a) been able to demonstrate their skills

b) scored goals.

Consequently our results have been moderate.

Our away matches have been played on pitches which have seemed, in comparison, to be meadows.

This has meant that our 1st XI have

a) been unable to demonstrate their skills

b) scored few goals.

Consequently our results have been moderate.

This does not mean, however, that the team has not met with success - our best performance being a 7-0 defeat of Vyners 1st XI.

This season's captain, Colin Christie, has shown great skill in leadership and stick work, and should be a very useful club member if he takes the game further.
