This is the link to the school Facebook site - it covers St. Nicholas, St. Marys and Haydon.
With over 800 members, this is the place to go to catch up with old friends.

"PRESS GANG"

Long after most of us had left St. Nicholas, between 1989 and 1993, Haydon School was featured in a number of episodes of the TV program "Press Gang".

Here are some links to a few of the relevant episodes. The first link has several classroom and corridor scenes, the second and third links have Main Hall scenes. However I expect most of you will want to watch every episode of every series.

We have several pages elsewhere on this site about the school fair including the link to the YouTube video, but in case you missed it, here it is again. This video is viewed almost every year on Youtube.

St Nicholas Fair 1962

Tim Deacon writes - "..amazing bit of film as my Dad (Reg Deacon, who was then 48 and I believe was Chairman of the PTA at the time?) and me (aged 13, presumably third year?) are on there at 4min. 31secs.

Colin Swales, now a property developer/sailor (now in Oregon, USA) is at 4min. 54secs, his brother, Mike Swales, ex-RN Helicopter Test Pilot (now living in Paris) is at 5mins. 26 secs. and all three of us, at 5mins. 29 secs."
