Staff Changes 10 (1970)

The following members of the start left during the year. The School wishes them happiness and success in their new appointments.

Mr. J. E. Booth to a teaching post in Uganda.
Mr. D. Bright to become Head of the P.E. Department at Harrow County School
Mr. M. B. Chettleborough to become Head of the Physics Department at Salvatorian College, Harrow.
Mr. K. J. New has left teaching.
Mr. R. E. Slinn to become Head of the Careers Department at Vyners School, Ickenham.
Mr. JD Smith to become Head of the French Department at the Highfield School, Letchworth, Herts.

During the year we welcomed:

In May 1970
Mr. J. W. Smith B.A. (London), as a member of the English Department. Mr. Smith retired as Headmaster of Pinner Grammar School at Easter 1970.
Mr. T. Wynn-Williams for some temporary help in the Physics Department

In September 1970
Mr. M. Fountain B.Sc. (Southampton) to the Mathematics Department.
Mr. P. Gibson Diploma of Loughborough College) to the P.E. Department from Gunnersbury Catholic Grammar School.
Mr. J. Ryan B.Sc. (Queen Mary College, London) to the Physics Department.
Mrs. G. Tippetts (University of Mainz) to the Modem Languages Department.

Our congratulations and good wishes go to Mrs. I. M. Lauder, who left in February 1970, on the birth of a daughter.

Mr. R. Bower, who had been caretaker since 1965 retired in May. We wish him good health and happiness in his retirement. In his place we welcome Mr. E. Cass.

Our good wishes go to our foreign language assistants for 1969-70 M. Marteau and Herr Kleist, and we welcome the assistants for 1970-71, M. Lavy and Fraulein Steinbrenner.

We congratulate two former members of the staff on their new appointments:
Mr. B. D. Ridge has been appointed Headmaster of St. Martin's School, West Drayton.
Dr. P. L. P. Clarke has been appointed Headmaster of the Westcliff High School for Boys.
