Staff Changes 11 (1971)

STAFF CHANGES (1971)

The following members of the staff left in July 1971-

Mr. J. A. Groat to be Head of the Science Department at Northfield School, Dunstable.
Mr. A. M. Hughes to be Head of the Chemistry Department at Tavistock School.
Mr. C.F. Miller to a post at Alleyne's School, Stevenage.
Dr. J. Wheaton to be Head of the History Department at Orange Hill School.

The School wishes them success in their new appointments. We also wish success to the foreign assistants for 1970-71, Fraulein Sigrid Steinbrenner and Monsieur Marcel Lavy.

The School is grateful to David Wallis (St. Nicholas 1958-65) BA(Hons) (Oxford) for filling a vacancy in the Mathematics Department from January to July 1971 prior to entering university work; to lan Hacker (St. Nicholas 1959-67) G.R.S.M. for help with Music; and to Mr. D. Brampton, B.Sc(Hons) (Leicester), for help with Geography during the autumn term.
Mrs. A Buckle who had been on the secretarial staff since 1966 left last term to take charge of the office at St. Mary's. We wish her success in her new post. Her place has been taken by Mrs. I. Mace. We also welcome Mrs. Tottman as Welfare Assistant
